Need to start a website but afraid to at the same time? Don’t know where to look or begin? Unsure about costs and what is necessary? Don’t worry, we’ve all been there sifting feverishly for knowledge all over the internet or with the random calls to our “tech savvy collegues”. The truth is, starting a website is fundamentally simple (albeit learning curves in areas) once certain issues are looked into and taken care of. Whether it’s a small business or larger, understanding the basics of what it means to start a website may save you money, time and energy when it comes to future projects.
Below is a step by step (with instructions) base, of where to start when starting a website for your business.
Be honest with yourself and assess who you are as a person, your strengths and weaknesses, potential pitfalls, and of course what makes you happy as that directly ties into the motivation necessary to put together and execute a successful brand with integrity and longevity (which is key). I cannot emphasize this enough, but you must RESEARCH, RESEARCH, AND RESEARCH ahead of time before going into anything. Explore all forms of media and gather information. Look at how other people/companies have successfully branded themselves. Study the trends within the market you wish to get your hands dirty with. Be PROACTIVE when it comes to understanding what it out there, and the formulas that work for people.
